Jen's Journal Fall (a short season in Alaska!)

September was a whirlwind of activity for Alpine Fit! We kicked off the month with a trip to Montana to celebrate the grand opening of Youer's new headquarters. Our pop-up event was a huge success, and we loved connecting with new customers and fans and being there to celebrate our friends hug accomplishment!

Back in Anchorage, we had a blast showcasing our latest collection at the Make it Alaskan Market. It was a great opportunity to meet local entrepreneurs and learn about the vibrant Alaskan maker community.

Behind the scenes, we've be manufacturing like wildfire getting ready for the holidays AND we've been hard at work preparing our Fall 2025 product line for wholesale buyers. We're excited to share our new designs and innovations soon.

In addition to our busy schedule, I had the honor of attending Title Nine's Pitchfest. This event brought together talented women-owned gear brands from all over the country. I was thrilled to connect with some of our favorite brands and mentor two of the finalists, Kaleidoscope Yoga Towels and Town Hall Co.

We also hosted an event about cottage industries at our workshop as part of Alaska Entrepreneurship Week. It was a great opportunity to discuss the challenges and rewards of running a small business in Alaska and hear the shared experiences from other fiber based and food businesses! I also thoroughly enjoyed the other workshops and events put on throughout the week thanks to the organizers of Alaska Entrepreneurship Week. Be sure to check out AKEW.org for future events! 

And of course, we couldn't forget about our limited small batch of the new sun hoodie. This much asked for and super functional piece has been flying off the shelves! We mostly sold out before we could even announce it properly. But! We have a couple left in limited quantities - get yours now! 

We're also so excited to be a part of the Adventure Awaits Giveaway with Tough Cutie, Women Who Explore, and 45 other amazing women-owned brands. This giveaway is a fantastic way to engage with fantastic women-owned businesses and hopefully win some incredible prizes. The giveaway is open until 10/16/24, so enter now if you haven't yet!!

Plus, we can't forget about some of our favorite fall adventures: mountain biking on grippy trails, trail runs with falling yellow birch leaves, nature walks and dog walks gazing at the fireweed transitioning from green to red to pale yellow-brown, last-chance snow-free alpine summits, sunrise and sunset walks (those happen too early and too late in the summer, in Alaska, during the fall they happen at primetime before work and evening), and we can't forget family favorites in Anchorage, Tuesday Night Races.

October is already half way through and life around here is showing only signs of gearing up faster and faster as we accelerate into the holiday season ahead! We look forward to seeing many of your familiar faces and names in the coming weeks at our various holiday shopping events and as we continue to attend various events and workshops related to entrepreneurship and outdoor adventure. We're always looking for new ways to connect with our community and support other small businesses.
